Melanctha came to Raine's rescue on her first night in Ravenblack City. It did not end well for the men who had attempted to assault her. From that close encounter, the two became acquainted. Melanctha offered Raine a place to stay in Port Luna. In time, Raine came to understand that Ravenblack City was no ordinary place.
It was then that Melanctha offered Raine immortality, and the promise of being a mentor for her. Raine's abilities from being a witch are not so far off from Melanctha's own talents.
It is now that the true strength of Raine's powers will be tested, as she enters into a hidden world that is full of all kinds of supernatural beings.
But she is not alone in her quest, not anymore.
